  • About the A-lister +

    Banna Harbera

We are an independent soul-funk band formed in 2014, with Yzabel Torres on vocals, Jake Masigan on guitar, Patrick Felipe on drums, Theo Blanch on keyboards and Josh Planas on bass. All five of us have a bachelor's degree in Music Production from De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde. We play music that our listeners (old & new) can dance, relate, and connect to. Different audiences identify our sound as laid-back and distinct.

"Remember those old cartoons you used to watch as a kid? The Jetsons, Flintstones, Scooby Doo? Well, This band has no relation to those whatsoever, aside from the fact that their band name is a spoonerism of the ever-so-iconic creators of the lovely cartoons we treasure deep in our nostalgic minds Composing of Yzabel Torres on vocals, Jake Masigan on guitar, Josh Planas on bass, Theo Blanch on keys, and Patrick Felipe on drums, Banna Harbera engages with their audience through subtle, laid-back feels and soulful music. Not to mention the occasional “huGOAT” moments you might get while listening closely to the their words. Formed back in 2013, with a different line up, the group started playing just for fun. Up until late 2014, They had a complete rebranding of their music and their sound in general, and after a few line up changes, their 3-track EP was finally written, recorded, and released. As they started to gain a small following, they finally decided that the group is “for keeps.” In a nutshell, all this group aims to do is give people music that listeners can dance and relate to deep within their souls. They hope you’ll enjoy listening to their music as much as they do playing them." - Amplify.ph
